Anger at Tom Cruise`s big role
PINT-sized actor Tom Cruise is at the centre of a height row after landing the role of a 6ft 5in action-book hero.
Cruise, 49, who is 5ft 7in, is to play fictional 18st ex-military cop Jack Reacher in One Shot.
But fans of the best-selling books plan to boycott the movie. One said: "It`s the worst casting decision."
Another was "sickened" by the choice of actor.
But Brit Lee Child, who writes the crime thrillers, backed Cruise. He said: "Reacher`s size is a metaphor for an unstoppable force, which Cruise portrays in his own way."
